Working closely with the firm’s lead architect and specialty consultants, Wally’s expertise is in matching the project goals established by the client. His role with Hofmann Architecture is as the architect of client relationships, from project inception to completion, ensuring high quality architectural design and project delivery services.

Before returning to his residential design roots, he was the creator and president of New Times Publishing, Inc. with its award-winning flagship newspaper, Mammoth Times. Thanks to more than 30 years of thoughtful human and environmental relationship-building, today, Wally’s project organizational leadership and thoughtful creation skills are unmatched.

His passion lies in the process of design, about how buildings are put together physically, about the nature of materials and the crafts involved in assembling them. Wally possesses a meticulous attention to physical detail with a broad architectural vision. As a LEED-Accredited Professional he understands the holistic process it takes to make sustainable building beautiful, efficient and affordable.

He graduated from Pacific Union College, in the Napa Valley, with a Bachelors Degree in design. He has more than three decades of experience in management, communications, and project coordination. He has traveled extensively throughout the world for humanitarian service. He enjoys snow skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, cooking, and a full-bodied complex cabernet.
