Airstream prank or art?
This 31-foot 1970 Airstream Sovereign is Professor Edward Tufte’s cartoonish engineering concoction located (or launched?) in Woodbury, CT.
According to a Summer 2013 article in Airstream Life, “The trailer (named Explorer), er, spacecraft in question was a 31-foot 1970 International Sovereign Twin.”
The Airstream sculpture is 31 feet high and was built from 2012-13 and stands among other large sculptural works on his farm, which in total weigh some 700 tons. Tufte calls his magnificent works of art, “megaliths.”
Our guess is the Explorer sleeps four Airstreamonauts. No word if a Fluxcapistor is included.
