The tragic movie Into The Wild speaks to the value of sharing one’s life with others through the story of Christopher McCandless. While overtaken by vast isolation, Christopher wrote the sincere words: “Happiness is only real when shared.”
From the frigid Alaskan outback, McCandless shared in his journal how to maintain that warm and cozy feeling. “The joy of life,” he wrote, “comes from our encounters with new experiences, and hence there is no greater joy than to have an endlessly changing horizon, for each day to have a new and different sun.”
Like riding a bicycle, life is a balancing act while pedaling forward. If you stop, you’re more likely to fall over or crash. The trick is to find your equilibrium between maintaining forward motion, while paying attention to the hazards of the road and remembering to stop and enjoy the view.
John Lennon once said, “Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans.” Be careful not to plan your life away or you’ll miss it — be sure to enjoy it, too.
Our design and build business that creates iconic mobile spaces is simply the result of an intentional life that puts a high value connections with our coworkers, our clients, and the community we serve. There’s very little distinction between the quality connections we celebrate, whether it’s at work, home, or play.
We’re a father-son led company of people who actually like what we do and truly enjoy each other’s lives. This way of looking at life makes it difficult to define the difference between work and play because they are the same dynamic — special opportunities to form quality connections.
Share the adventure. Connect with others, nature and yourself.
