1969 OVERLANDER 26′ – HOLLY – $55,000

Holly is an excellent example of a mid-sized rear bath Airstream layout that works well for a family of four or two couples because it has not one, but TWO semi-private sleeping spaces. The convertible sofa in back and the dinette in front each convert easily into comfortable double beds. It’s one of our favorite sizes to recommend to travelers on the go, without a lot of length. It’s just 26 feet in length, and weighs in at a less than 6000 lbs.

In 2016, the same pure, heart-felt message continues to strike a chord with those looking for a deeper sense of connection to each other, their families, and their environment.Michelle is yet another vessel by Hofmann Architecture that has been carefully designed and crafted to serve a family who will share an adventurous lifestyle while building memories for generations to come.

Client: A Texas based couple, with a ranch in Wyoming.

Vessel: 1969 Overlander 26′

Location: Rustic dude/dudette ranch in Cheyenne, WY

Purpose: Think “City Slickers.” This is an inexpensive, yet elegant big city escape for enjoying the great outdoors or enjoying a simple 3-season getaway.

Goal: As a partial renovation (see Whats the Difference? – Full vs Partial Airstream Renovations), the features and finishes of Holly are similar in quality and customization with our full frame-off renovations. The floor plan maintains the original styling that Airstream is famous for, with improved function and finishes such as bamboo countertops, hardwood flooring, and contemporary sinks and faucetry. Of course, the exterior skin and two new aluminum propane tanks are polished to a bright mirror shine.

Design Highlights: The entire interior has been refreshed with all new cabinet faces, overhead slider fronts, custom aluminum trim, and German hardware. All-new appliances and systems ensure no-hassle use. The bathroom floor and kitchen backsplash have HofArc’s signature blue glass tiles. Extended dining space seats eight. The food prep area has also been expanded with lightweight granite countertops and two refrigerator/freezers. Two new skylights provide plenty of light and sun to warm the space or, can be covered with a roller shade. New Sunbrella cushions throughout match the new patio awning.

Architects Impressed:
The prestigious American Institute of Architects (AIA) graciously invited Hofmann Architecture to display one of their Airstream designs at the 2013 Convention in Denver, Colorado. Hollywas wheeled into the center of the exhibit hall and HofArc’s owners, Matthew and Wally, proudly did a show-and-tell the entire weekend.
